jessica dennehy
Jessica Dennehy has experience working in strategic planning and outreach to support various public health initiatives centered around health equity. Jessica obtained her MPH from CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy with a concentration in health policy and management, graduating with the Dean’s Merit Award for Excellence. During her time at CUNY SPH, Jessica collaborated with the Harlem Health Initiative to develop a policy brief in which she analyzed local policy in comparison to national standards to recommend equitable recreational use implementation. The policy brief included suggestions for improvements towards achieving health equity, with a focus on social and restorative justice.
Additionally, Jessica supports the development and implementation of various projects within the Institute for Excellence in Health Equity at NYU Langone Health. Jessica has contributed to research, and abstracts with a focus on implicit bias and embedding principles of health equity into ongoing educational initiatives. Jessica has experience with strategic planning, conducting scoping reviews, qualitative data analysis, and evaluation implementation.
Why am I here?
As Director of Policy and Partnerships, Jessica aims to support development of CHA toolkits and training as well as initiate and sustain stakeholder relations. Jessica’s end goal is to increase civic engagement among healthcare workers and their communities.
